Scientists of Osaka Dental University researched on the effect of plasma treatment of titanium surface on biocompatibility. The entire test series was performed with the piezobrush PZ2 from relyon plasma.
Plasma technology from relyon plasma is an integral part of medical technology, especially in dentistry and implantology. When it comes to the manufacture of implants, for example for dental applications, more and more manufacturers are relying on the high-performance plastic PEEK (polyetheretherketone). Plasma functionalization of the PEEK implant directly before insertion optimizes the conditions for connection to the organic tissue and thus the healing process.
