In this study, the effect of the application of atmospheric pressure plasma on the strength of the bonded joint of galvanised and non-galvanised steels was investigated.
The plasma treatment of metals is now increasingly carried out by cold atmospheric pressure plasma, which is very effective and environmentally friendly. Plasma technology for the treatment of metals is used in the automotive industry, the construction industry, the container industry, the electrical industry and medical technology.
In connection with plasma and metal, this technology is mostly used for fine cleaning. Depending on the type of contamination (organic or oxide) different plasma gases can be used flexibly. For organic impurities compressed air is used, whereas forming gas is used for oxid layers.
