Symposium: 40th anniversary of IIC Austria

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the foundation of the IIC Austria a symposium with the title “Generations in dialogue” will be held on September the ninth in Vienna. The symposium will take place at the former University of Economics which currently houses the Academy of fine Arts Vienna. Relyon plasma presents at the symposium the reduction process of oxides with plasma technology.

At the Symposium: 40 years IIC Austria Dr.-Ing. Dariusz Korzec will demonstrate the reduction process of oxides with plasma technology.

The symposium aims to open up a dialogue between generations as well as the different disciplines in conservation and restoration
Since plasma cleaning is a rather unknown field here, our colleague Dr.-Ing. Dariusz Korzec will give insights into this topic during four demonstrations.

In particular, at the symposium he shows a reduction process of oxides on old silver coins and other silver objects with the plasma handheld piezobrush PZ2. For this application the multi-gas nozzle of the piezobrush with the noble gas Varigon H2 is used.
