How cold plasma functionalizes 3D-printed PCL scaffolds for tissue engineering.

The combination of additive manufacturing and plasma technology opens up new avenues in regenerative medicine and tissue engineering. A particularly innovative approach is the cold plasma surface modification of 3D-printed polycaprolactone (PCL) scaffolds, as is currently being researched at the Cabral Laboratory of the University of Otago (New Zealand).

New study on nanoparticle emission in plasma jets. A research team from relyon plasma GmbH and the Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule (OTH) Regensburg has investigated the emission of nanoparticles from atmospheric pressure plasma jets (APPJ) using the PlasmaBrush PB3 integration with four different nozzles.

The study investigates the generation of ozone using a plasma reactor based on a novel hybrid dielectric barrier discharge (HDBD). Ozone generation was investigated for a variety of parameters.
